Field Geometry
Clay Irwin, a maintanence worker with the City of Gainesville Parks and Recreation Department, readies one of the softball fields for play at Northeast Park. Irwin said it takes about 40 minutes to prepare the field, which includes wetting the clay, filling in holes, dragging the clay and marking the field with chalk.
