Croft closes the gate to New River Solid Waste Association on his way to a bible study at First Baptist Church of Lake Butler. His height makes it difficult to buy groceries, wash his hands in a public rest room and complete other tasks people of average height would consider trivial. While traveling, Croft takes a step stool along to reach the hotel sink.
